The traditional 1 oz coin in the quadrum capsule is refined with coloring and its design is enhanced by gilding with 24kt gold. The hemp plant has been known for centuries for its medicinal effects, the technical plant is also used as a crop for the production of paper and textiles.
On the other side of the coin we find the national emblem of the Republic of Chad, containing the inscriptions "Unité, travail, progres" - "Unity, work, progress". The emblem is also selectively gold-plated.
