The obverse of the coin shows Gaul and Germania, depicted as young and beautiful women. They stand together and join hands in victory. Germania's head is decorated with an oak branch - a tree that has accompanied her since the beginning of the series. In his hand he holds a shield with the image of a double-headed eagle.
