The reverse of the coin features a design by artist Henry Gray featuring the iconic facade of Buckingham Palace. The palace is the official residence of the British monarch in London. Located in the borough of Westminster, it has served as a residence and place of work for monarchs since the reign of Queen Victoria in 1837. Buckingham Palace is also the venue for official state ceremonies, audiences, banquets and other events related to the public life of the Royal Family.
