The 19th century French novelist and dramatist, Alexandre Dumas, became the subject of a coin made from 22.2 grams of silver. The author of the historical novels The Count of Monte Cristo or The Three Musketeers is notorious across all generations.

The obverse of these collectible coins features Alexandre Dumas facing his emblematic figures: the Four Musketeers. They point the tip of the sword at the author's nose as if to challenge him.
On the opposite side we can see several emblematic quotes, such as "The best is the enemy of the good" by Voltaire, "Lasciate ogne speranza voi ch'intrate" by Dane Alighieri, "To be or not to be, that is the question" by William Shakespeare or Nietzsche's "Was mich nicht umbringt macht mich stíker”.
